The reality star gets real about hiding the painful truth in her upcoming memoir, My Good Side.

Scheana Shay is finally ready to share one of the most painful betrayals of her life—and explains why she kept it secret for so long.

The Vanderpump Rules star recently opened up about the shocking revelations in her new memoir, My Good Side, including her husband Brock Davies’ affair, which happened while she was pregnant.

Just before Glamour published an explosive excerpt on July 10—detailing Davies’ infidelity—Shay got brutally honest on the July 4 episode of her Scheananigans podcast. She explained why she had stayed quiet for years about some of her most personal struggles.

“There are things I haven’t been fully transparent about, or maybe never corrected the narrative on,” Shay said, seemingly hinting at the affair without naming it directly.

“I never shared my side because I was scared,” she admitted. “I worried that if I told people what I was really going through, they’d think I was making it about myself instead of focusing on someone else’s pain.”

That fear of judgment, she explained, kept her from speaking up sooner.

“People always say, ‘Oh, you make everything about you,’” Shay added. “That perception has held me back from being completely open—whether on the show or the podcast.”

But with My Good Side, Shay says she’s finally reclaiming her story.

“In this book, I do make it about me—because for once, I get to tell my side in my own words,” she said. “You’ll hear things I’ve never shared before, with no filter and no fear.”

Shay teased that even her most devoted fans will be stunned by the memoir’s revelations.

“There’s so much about my past, my family, and my early experiences that will shock readers,” she said. “People think they know me, but after this book? They’ll realize they only knew about 80% of my life. The rest is in these pages.”

One of the biggest bombshells? Davies cheated on her during her pregnancy with their daughter, Summer Moon.

In the Glamour excerpt, Shay wrote: “I was frozen in shock when he admitted he’d cheated two years earlier—back when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer. I felt physically sick.”

Davies claimed he was struggling with the idea of fatherhood again and let his fears spiral into self-destruction.

“He was terrified about becoming a dad again—questioning whether he even deserved to be one,” Shay wrote. “And instead of facing those feelings, he chose to sleep with someone else. Yes, chose—because it was a conscious decision. No one forced him.”

The affair began after Davies ran into a woman he knew from before their relationship outside his San Diego gym. “After reconnecting, they started a brief affair,” Shay revealed.

Trust Tested Again

The couple welcomed Summer in April 2021 and married in Cancun in 2022. But Shay’s trust was shaken again during 2023’s Scandoval drama, when rumors swirled that Davies might have had a past with Rachel (Raquel) Leviss.

“Of course I confronted him,” Shay said on Watch What Happens Live in April 2023. “After everything with Tom [Sandoval] and Raquel—which I didn’t believe at first—I had to ask.”

Davies denied it outright. “He said, ‘Absolutely not,’” Shay recalled. “But I pushed further: ‘Did she ever try anything?’ Because as much as I trust my husband, I don’t trust her.”
