Resurfaced RHOBH Clip Shows Aaron Phypers Threatening to “Crush” Denise Richards’ Hand

A tense clip from *The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills* has gone viral again amid Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers’ ongoing divorce—where Richards has accused him of abuse, claims he strongly denies.

The scene, originally from Season 10 in 2020, captures the couple abruptly leaving an event at Kyle Richards’ home. In the heated exchange, Richards snaps, *“Don’t say a f–king word,”* to which Phypers coldly responds, *“Don’t tell me what to say. I’m going to crush your f–king hand. Stop it.”*

Fans were shocked when the clip resurfaced on Instagram this week, with one commenting, *“This is a major red flag,”* and another writing, *“This is seriously disturbing.”*

Even the RHOBH cast reacted at the time. Erika Jayne tweeted, *“Wait! What did he just say??”* alongside a concerned emoji—a post shared by Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, and Teddi Mellencamp. Erika also reposted the clip with captions, highlighting Phypers’ “crush” remark.

Kyle retweeted the footage but later deleted it. When a fan accused her of trying to “exploit and embarrass Denise,” she fired back, *“Should we protect him?”* Teddi shared the clip as well, adding, *“When I called him an asshole, I wasn’t too far off.”*

During the season’s reunion, Richards addressed the moment after host Andy Cohen asked about it. *“I didn’t even realize he said that,”* she admitted. *“When I played it back for him, he claimed he didn’t remember it and joked that he was ‘afraid of me.’”*

But her explanation didn’t sit well with her castmates. Sutton Stracke called Phypers’ words *“unacceptable,”* while Garcelle Beauvais told Cohen she hadn’t caught the remark on the show but saw it later online and was *“worried.”*

Richards and Phypers married in 2018 but split after five years, with Phypers filing for divorce in early July 2025 and requesting spousal support. Shortly after, Richards secured a restraining order against him, alleging years of abuse.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, the *Wild Things* actress accused Phypers of physical violence dating back to 2022—including choking her, slamming her head into objects, and threatening to kill her and himself. She also claimed he hacked her devices and left her with visible injuries, like a black eye.

*“I was too afraid to report him before because he threatened to kill us both if I did,”* she wrote, adding that he owns eight unregistered guns.

Phypers has denied all allegations, telling TMZ, *“This is false. I have evidence to prove it—she’s fabricating a story to protect her image.”* In a follow-up statement, he insisted, *“I have never abused Denise, physically or emotionally. These claims are completely untrue.”*

The restraining order remains in effect until their next court date on August 8, requiring Phypers to stay 100 yards away from Richards, her home, car, and workplace.

The ex-couple shares 14-year-old Eloise, whom Richards adopted in 2011. She also has two daughters, Sami, 24, and Lola, 20, from her previous marriage to Charlie Sheen.
