Bunnie Xo Opens Up About IVF Journey with Jelly Roll: Hopeful for a Growing Family, “If It’s Meant to Be”

Last year, Bunnie Xo took to Instagram to share she was undergoing IVF treatment, and now she’s getting candid about the hurdles along the way as she and husband Jelly Roll hope to expand their family.

The podcaster has been vocal about her path to becoming a mom, and on a recent episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, she opened up about the ups and downs of her IVF process, which kicked off in 2024. During a chat with Maury Povich, the former CBS Evening News anchor expressed empathy, recalling his own similar experience with wife Connie Chung decades ago.

“We went through the exact same thing you and Jelly Roll are going through,” Povich shared. “We tried so hard to have a baby—this was over 30 years ago. Connie even had to take time off from CBS, and our journey to conceive became a big news story back then.”

Bunnie described IVF as “incredibly tough” but emphasized her faith in the process. “At the end of the day, we’re leaving it in God’s hands,” she said. “If it’s meant to happen, it will. And if not, adoption is always an option we’re open to.”

Currently, Bunnie is stepmom to Jelly Roll’s two kids: 16-year-old Bailee Ann and 8-year-old Noah Buddy. Earlier this year, she got emotional on her podcast talking about her motivation. “I’m riding this emotional rollercoaster—all the worry, the highs and lows—just to have a little piece of me and my husband,” she shared. “A tiny bundle of joy to add to our already beautiful family with the two amazing kids we have.”

Before June 2024, the couple—who tied the knot in 2016—had kept their IVF plans under wraps. “We originally wanted to go through this privately,” Bunnie explained in an Instagram post after Jelly Roll mentioned their journey on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast. “But we decided to share it because we’ve always been so open with our fans about our lives.”

Excitingly, a few months ago, Bunnie had some positive news to share on social media. “Just got the call I’ve been waiting for—five months into this IVF journey,” she wrote in the caption, clarifying she isn’t pregnant yet. “All the tears, the hopeless days, the struggles… God finally said, ‘Here.’”
