Jennifer Lopez poured her emotions into a powerful new performance in Spain, leaving fans convinced her latest song reflects on her past marriage.
The global superstar kicked off her tour in Pontevedra, Spain, on July 8, delivering high-energy performances of her biggest hits that had the crowd on their feet. But the mood shifted when she introduced a raw, emotional new track—“Wreckage of You.”
“This is a brand-new song I wrote during one of those sleepless nights,” Lopez told the audience. “Tonight, I want to share it with you for the first time.”

At 55, the singer delivered a soul-stirring performance, with lyrics that seemed to trace a journey of self-discovery and healing—hinting at gratitude toward a past love for shaping who she is today.
“The love I want, the love I need, it starts in me,” she sang. “Now I found my way, here I’m gonna stay. Thank you for the scars you left on my heart—showing me that stars shine brighter in the dark. I won’t fall apart because of who we are, just your broken parts.”
The chorus reflected on bittersweet memories with an unnamed former partner, acknowledging how the relationship ultimately made her stronger.
“Because of you, I am stronger, wiser,” she continued. “Better than I’ve ever been. I won’t let you linger, ever say goodbye to me. It was perfect while you made me believe, but now I see—it only made me greater, bulletproof. Watch me climb out of the wreckage of you.”
Though Lopez never directly referenced Ben Affleck, fans quickly connected the lyrics to their recent divorce. The pair rekindled their romance in 2021, famously marrying in 2022—only to split less than three years later, finalizing their divorce in January 2025.
