Lala Kent Speaks Out on Brock Davies’ Cheating Scandal—And How She Reacted

Lala Kent is showing unwavering support for her friend Scheana Shay after the Vanderpump Rules star revealed in her upcoming memoir that her husband, Brock Davies, was unfaithful during her pregnancy.

The bombshell confession appears in Shay’s book, My Good Side, set for release on July 22. In an excerpt published by Glamour on July 10, Shay disclosed that Davies cheated in 2020 while she was expecting their daughter, Summer Moon.

Kent addressed the shocking revelation during the July 14 episode of her Give Them Lala podcast, admitting she had known about the affair—but not right away.

“Yes, I did [know], but not immediately,” Kent said. “When it came out, Scheana called me and said, ‘Just a heads-up—this article’s dropping tomorrow with the excerpt. I might need you in my corner. I’m really nervous.’”

Despite the painful subject, Kent applauded Shay for bravely sharing such a personal part of her life.

“I won’t repeat exactly what she told me—that’s between her and her husband,” Kent continued. “But the excerpt from her book was beautifully written. Really well done.”

While fans are still reeling from the news, Kent admitted it wasn’t as shocking to her, since she’d had time to process it privately. “Not that it’s my place to judge,” she added. “I’m not in their marriage.”

Still, Kent had some kind words for Davies, particularly about his role as a father to Summer Moon—and his bond with her own kids.

“Brock has been great—well, not always. We’ve had our issues, and I’ve called him out before. But lately, I’ve seen how involved he is with Summer, Ocean, and Sosa. He’s really stepped up.”

Kent, who shares 4-year-old Ocean with ex Randall Emmett and welcomed 10-month-old Sosa via IUI last year, reflected on growth and second chances.

“Life never goes exactly how we plan,” she said. “Looking back, there are so many moments where I think, ‘Man, I’d do that differently if I could.’ I know he feels the same way.”

Shay never addressed the affair on Vanderpump Rules, even after Davies confessed in 2023. On the July 4 episode of her podcast, Scheananigans, she explained why: “I was scared.”

“If I told people what I was really dealing with, they’d think I was trying to steal the spotlight from someone else’s drama,” Shay admitted.

“But in my book, it’s finally my turn. You’ll hear my side—the parts I’ve never shared before, in my own words, on my terms.”
